Incubator&#8217;s workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SUNDANCE DOCUMENTARY AWARD goes to a debut film from the DOK.Incubator\u00b4s<br \/>\nworkshop!<br \/>\nThe Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear, a low budget documentary,<br \/>\ndeveloped within the DOK.Incubator workshop, has just won the award for<br \/>\nWorld Cinema Documentary Directing at the SUNDANCE Festival! For the<br \/>\nGurchiani sisters, was the first time both producing and directing a feature<br \/>\nlenght documentary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eLiving for a long time in Europe, I wanted to return to Georgia and make a<br \/>\nfilm about young people there. So I organised a casting \u2013 and suddenly I<br \/>\nsaw, that those faces have their own touching stories \u2013 and I decided to<br \/>\nlisten to them,\u201c describes Tinatin Gurchiani, the debuting documentarist,<br \/>\nthe very start of her road to the amazing success of this visually stunning<br \/>\nmovie. The film was developed within DOK.Incubator, workshop focused on<br \/>\nediting and distribution, that provides an individual tutoring for<br \/>\ndocumentary projects from the rough cut stage to their release. After a half<br \/>\nyear of intensive work, The Machine\u2026 achived sophisticated editing and a<br \/>\nprecise distribution strategy, helping them to approach the prestigious<br \/>\nsales agency, Deckert Distribution, and achieve international distribution.<br \/>\nTheir road to success started with their premiere at DOK Leipzig Young<br \/>\nCompetition and finished with the most prestigious international competition<br \/>\nat Sundance.<\/p>\n<p>The DOK.Incubator project has been launched in 2012 by a creative think-tank<br \/>\nDocIncubator (CZ), DOK.Leipzig festival (DE) and the Institute of<br \/>\nDocumentary Film (CZ) , in cooperation with the Association of Independent<br \/>\nProducers (SK) and Centrala Filmproduction (PL).
